Grant Updates:

FEMA AFG Grants:

In January 2024 FEMA received a total of 7,962 AFG applications. A total of $3.7 billion of federal funding was requested.  Award announcements are currently underway and will continue throughout the summer.

FEMA SAFER Grants:

In March 2024, FEMA received 2,161 SAFER applications with a total requested federal funding of $3.1 billion. Peer review panel for SAFER applications was held the week of June 10.  Announcement of funding Awards is expected to begin in August. 

WA DNR Volunteer Fire Assistance Grants 

Phase II applications will be accepted October to December 2024.

NEW FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

Numerous funding opportunities are currently available to address fire district operational needs with regard to climate change.  These include such items as funding provided to enhance power needs through solar installations or battery storage facilities.  Contact us for more information.

Summary of Consulting Offerings

Resource Solutions LLC recently completed a strategic planning process for Chelan County Fire District #6.  The resulting plan was the first of its kind for the district and was approved by the districts fire commissioners.  The plan will be implemented over the coming six year period and will be used as a template to conduct and update fire district operations.
